Seat Adapter Kit - Suitable for use with 70 Series LandCruiser (Including 75, 76, 78 AND 79)
This listing is for a set of precision laser cut steel adapter plates that allow you to bolt Falcon (Ba-Fgx) or Commodore (Ve) seats (Will not suit VF) into your 70 series (if you have a 73 series please let us know as they can vary).
As with all our kits, this is a bolt in mod with no drilling, welding or cutting required. The kit comes with all nuts, bolts and spacers required. All you need to install it is a socket set, some seats and an hour or so of your time. Full step-by-step colour instructions are also provided.
The adapter kit comes with everything you need to complete the installation except the seats themselves. The provided parts seamlessly bolt onto your existing sliding rails and allow you to then bolt the Falcon/Commodore seats down directly to them.
The Falcon and Commodore seats were designed in Australia for Australians and their unique touring needs. They are wider than the factory seats, have significantly more foam padding and also feature a 'sprung foam' design rather than a steel pan - a basic version of seat suspension. We constantly get feedback from customers that after doing this mod they can comfortably drive for hours without getting a sore/stiff back as they did in the factory seats.
Additionally, the improved side bolsters on the sport seat varieties (XR6, XR8, SS, SV6 etc.) provides a surprising level of comfort and confidence off road as you are naturally kept in the optimal driving position by the seat, so you can focus more on pointing your rig in the right direction and less on holding yourself in place!
Please Note: These kits have been designed to pass compliance laws in all Australian states. Legislation requires, however, that the installation must be sighted and signed off officially by a certified engineer in the state that the car is registered. Until certified, these kits are intended for offroad use only. Seats not included in sale.
KIT COMES AS A PAIR
This kit is not compatible with the swivel style bench seat rails. If you have them, you will need to source a set of the standard rails to do the seat swap.
Some 2 seat Troopy's (not including 3/4 bench seat versions) have longer rails on the passenger side and require the drilling of a single hole into the Troopy rail for fitment.
If you have a 2017-Present 5-star ANCAP single cab, please ensure you pick the corresponding option from the first drop-down menu.
